What you need to know

Try a new stitch effect with Siân Brown’s bobble cardigan knitting pattern.

This cardigan may be subtle in colour but it makes a real statement with its brilliant bobble border. There are lots of ways of making bobbles in knitting so familiarise yourself with this particular method by reading the Special Abbreviation section included in your pack carefully and giving it a try when you knit your tension square. There’s a fair amount of ease which gives this cardi a lovely loose style.

Top knit tips

This is similar to a regular cast off but rather than knitting every stitch and passing the stitches over, you will be continuing your rib pattern. If you are quite a tight knitter, try going up a needle size for your cast-off row to ensure the edge stays stretchy.

Decreasing two stitches in from the edge makes it easier to sew your seams and gives a pro finish on your raglans!
