World expert in therapeutic knitting Betsan Corkhill shows us how to get the most out of our knitting and how it can even be used to improve our health!
We all know how stressful day-to-day living can be, so Betsan is visiting Black Sheep Wools Craft Barn on Saturday 4th October to show us how beneficial therapeutic knitting can be in relieving stress and enhance general well-being.
Betsan will be there from 10am-4pm to help answer your questions about how therapeutic can help both you and those around you.
Founder of Stitchlinks and an experienced clinician, Betsan has been researching the social, creative, and meditative benefits of knitting for nearly ten years. Since 2006, she has been running a therapeutic knitting group at an NHS pain clinic in Bath, and other carers across the globe are now following her example and using therapeutic knitting to help those with both physical and mental illnesses.
Betsan will also be signing copies of her book Knit for Health and Wellness: How to knit a flexible mind and more…’ so make sure you bring your copy along, or buy one on the day!
Whether you want to learn how to manage your stress levels or just want to take a break from the pressures of your daily life, this is a great event to attend with your knitting group or friends.
