Burscough Fibre Fest is back for its third year in a row, and this time it’s bigger than ever! Whether it’s shopping you’re looking for, mastering a new skill, or having a fun day out with fellow knitters, this is a great festival for any wool fan.
Taking place at the Grove Community and Activity Centre in Burscough on the 19th of October, 10am-4pm, Fibre Fest has loads lined up to keep every knitter and crocheter busy for the day.
There are a wide range of yarns for sale, from both commercial yarn retailers and independent spinners and dyers, as well as a variety of crafters with garments available for you to buy. Get involved by learning how to spin yarn or make lace – check out some the demonstrations being held throughout the day. Or bring along your knitting friends for a relaxing day trip – there are refreshments available throughout the day, and there’s even an area reserved for a good old knit and natter!
Entry costs £1 per person, or if you want to exhibit, tables are £10 for the day. For more information, call Carole or Colin Wareing on 07931 365204, or go to www.thewoolboat.co.uk.
