We have been waiting as patiently as possible to hear which famous faces will be sporting festive sweaters this Christmas Jumper Day, and we are so excited to finally reveal who will be joining in the celebrations!
First of all: how incredible does Julie Walters look in her fabulous elf sweater?
Next up is our favourite fashion guru, the one and only Gok Wan
Then it’s Ex-Strictly judge Arlene Phillips
And back for a second year is TV personality Myleene Klass
Other celebs involved include: Kate Thornton, Lorraine Kelly, Alex Jones, and Jay Rayner, among others.
Save the Children’s ‘make the world better with a sweater’ campaign encourages people from across the country to wear a Christmas jumper on Friday 13th December, in exchange for a £1 donation to help improve the lives of our world’s vulnerable children.
There are many ways to get involved: you can dig out a retro favourite, tinsel up an ordinary sweater or even buy a Christmas jumper. For every Christmas jumper sold at John Lewis, £25 is being donated to Save the Children. However, dear knitters - there is also the option to knit your own full-sized, or miniature jumper to garnish your Christmas tree with (we thought this might be right up your street!) The mini knitted jumper patterns were designed exclusively by the lovely Debbie Bliss, and the full-sized sweater is taken from Sue Stratford’s fabulous new book, Merry Christmas Sweaters, boasting a cheeky snowman. You can get it from our site here!
