Book your activities for the Campaign For Wool’s brand new installation!

The Campaign for Wool has an exciting new showcase - introducing the Wool Beach Lodge. Open from 3rd – 13th July 2019, this interactive pop-up installation is a celebration of wool as both a transseasonal and performance fibre. The displays will show how wool can work just as well in the summer months and how its natural properties can be a benefit in activewear too! The campaign has partnered with performance brands Finisterre, Core Merino, APL, Icebreaker, Outerknown and Devold, plus clothing labels including Wool & Prince, McNair, Anderson & Sheppard, Armadillo Merino, Dashing Tweed and Johnstons of Elgin.

“We are pleased to introduce the Wool Beach Lodge which shows off the innovative nature of wool in sporting apparel and equipment, and where better to do it than the beautiful Cornish countryside.” says Peter Ackroyd, COO of The Campaign for Wool. “There is a real misconception that wool is purely associated with cooler seasons and warming benefits, however through this exciting launch, the Wool Beach Lodge will showcase the versatility of wool and establish it as a transseasonal textile.”

The lodge will be decked out with wool furniture, courtesy of brand partners Tetrad and Solidwool, along with furnishings from labels including Abraham Moon & Sons, AW Hainsworth, Thermafleece, Alternative Flooring and Brintons, through to The Wool Room, Luna Textiles, Jessica Dance, Raeburn Design, CDBDI and Margo Selby.

Team your visit to the lodge with one of the brilliant beach activities led by supporters of the Campaign for Wool. You can enjoy surfing, yoga, wool workshops and movie screenings, plus there’s an exclusive hike hosted by author and survival expert, John Hudson. Wool is a fantastic renewable resource and it’s eco-friendly too. Why not join a beach clean which is just one of the extra activities designed to highlight the eco-friendly nature of wool, which biodegrades in the land and ocean to reduce waste and help the planet.
