Coming up! Charity Week with Let’s Knit Together

Coming up! Charity Week with Let’s Knit Together

Our Let’s Knit Together community is a very special one, not only are our members incredibly friendly, but they’re also very caring people. All next week (10th-16th August 2020) we’ll be highlighting a different charity each day to encourage members and non-members to knit for a good cause! Keep checking back every morning to see which charity we’d love you to knit for, but in the meantime, here’s a little look at some of the charities we have lined up…

Little Hearts Matter
Knit For Peace
Project Linus
Innocent Big Knit
Francis House Children’s Hospice

Don’t forget to bookmark our Charity Knits page which is updated regularly, it’s the best way to find out about charitable campaigns!

We love seeing what our members have been making for charity!

“My knitting group knitted little animals for the SPANA charity a few years ago. Here is a photo of some of my knits”
LKT Member, Lesley

“I make layette sets for SPRING (Supporting Parents and Relatives in Neonatal Grief) which is for babies born asleep and these sets for NICU - with one sleeve cardigan for babies with a cannula”
LKT Member, Glynis

Over on the private Facebook group, we asked Let’s Knit Together members which charities they’ve been knitting for recently and just had to share their responses with you all…

“The MacMillan appeal, then I will knit donkeys for Christmas”
LKT Member, Lesley

“I am knitting Easter Chicks and Bunnies for Yorkshire Cat Rescue”
LKT Member, Debbie

“We’ve been knitting hearts for the local hospital to give out to patients and their families”
LKT Member, Jean

“I have done some blankets for Cats Protection, Mini Hats for Innocent bottles for Age Concern, Premature baby hats for local hospitals, Twiddle Mitts for dementia care homes and now the toys I am making will go to a children’s charity, just trying to make my mind up which one. I have done quite a few charities over the years and it feels good to give something to someone else”
LKT Member, Melanie

“Chemo heat pad pouches for Blackpool Hospital and fiddle muffs for local dementia home. A great way to enjoy yourself and share the love”
LKT Member, Lizzie
