Knitters born under the sign of Virgo are kind, resourceful, organised and practical. But how does that affect their knitting? Illustration: Julie Anson
You love to knit…
...using your renowned attention to detail. You like to select the right pattern, correct size and appropriate yarn to create the best knit you can, especially if you are knitting for someone else. Virgo knitters love to select the nicest buttons and notions and complementary, harmonious colours. Heaven for you is having time to spend in a beautifully laid-out shop with space to knit and peruse the latest designs and yarns. You like to make sure that the finish of your knits is as accomplished as the knitting itself.
UFO
With the time you spend selecting your projects, UFOs are very rare. You would rather not knit at all than knit something you don’t like or that doesn’t meet your high standards. You do have one guilty secret lurking in your stash though – 100 grams of rewound cashmere yarn from a frogged pair of gloves which were never finished because the pattern had an error in it. You couldn’t bring yourself to risk finishing them in case they didn’t turn out as you wanted them to.
WIP
You’ve already started working your way through this year’s Christmas knitting, allocating some of your personal knitting time so that you can get ahead. Your nearest and dearest will be receiving different colourways of the same mossstitch scarf in softest merino so you can have the pleasure of seeing them all together over the Christmas holidays.
Knitting motto
Knit it right, or not at all.
