Represented by twins, Geminis love to learn, have fun and enjoy anything new and interesting. But what kind of knitter do they make? Find out now! (Illustration: Julie Anson)
You love to knit…
...quickly whilst learning new skills. You prefer a steady stream of quick, small knits or a larger project with a variety of components and techniques. Once you’ve completed your creation, you want to show it off, taking it down to the knitting group to get your share of admiration and to tell everyone how you pulled off that tricky picot edge castoff. A lover of knitting magazines and books, you enjoy talking about the latest patterns and design ideas too.
UFO
You were once persuaded to take on a bigger challenge. You’d mastered cables and someone suggested transferring that skill from arm warmers to a long-line cardigan. It was abandoned when Rowan’s latest pattern collection arrived through your letterbox and you were tempted by a pretty Fair Isle beret which was perfect for chilly mornings and in the latest colours. The long-line languishes still.
WIP
This year it’s gloves. Lace gloves, cabled arm-warmers, Icelandic Fair Isle mittens. Your entire extended family will be receiving handknitted gloves for Christmas because they’re quick, small projects with infinite possibilities.
Knitting motto
Knit, learn, share.
