LKT Easter Basket Orange Cover (page 4)

After Row 2, an increase row is missing therefore cont as folls:
[] Row 3: k
[] Row 4: (pfb) in each st to end. 16 sts
[] Rows 5-8: beg with a k row, work in st st
Change to yarn C (B, A)
[] Row 9: k
Change to yarn B (D, E)
[] Rows 10-13: beg with a p (WS) row, work in st st
[] Row 14: (p3, p2tog) to last st, p1. 13 sts
[] Row 15: k
[] Row 16: (p1, p2tog) to last st, p1. Nine sts
[] Row 16: k
[] Row 18: (p1, p2tog) to end. Six sts
[] Row 19: k
[] Cut yarn leaving a tail, thread through rem sts, pull tight and fasten off

 

Last Minute Make Notebook Cover (page 53)

You also need two 12cm x 17cm cotton fabric pieces. Please find the instructions for the Flower, Loop and making up:

FLOWER
Using 4mm needles and yarn A, cast on 21 sts
[] Row 1: k to end
[] Row 2: k1, * leaving st on RH needle, cast off three sts leaving last cast off st on RH needle, rep from * to end. Six sts
[] Cut yarn leaving a tail, thread through rem sts, pull tight and fasten off

LOOP
[] Using 5mm crochet hook and yarn A, make 15ch
[] Fasten off

TO MAKE UP
Sew in ends. Sew Flower and button in centre of right-hand edge. On each of two fabric pieces, turn and sew a 1cm hem along one long side. With an iron press a 1cm hem along three rem edges. Pin fabric pieces to each end of cover and slip stitch along three outside edges, creating a pocket each end. Sew loop in position opposite flower. Insert notebook covers into pockets
