When repeating the Chevron pattern on the back, you do not need to work six rows in stocking stitch each time. The ** should be moved to where it says "Work chevron patt as folls:"

The measurements given after reversing the pattern are from the cast-on edge.
For sizes 16, 18 and 22, shape the sleeve straight away.
For size 20, there should be an AT THE SAME TIME instruction and you need to commence shaping the sleeve before you reverse the stitch pattern.
