What you need to know

Knit this large shoulder bag to carry your trick or treat sweets. Designed by Sarah Neal and knitted in aran yarn.

Sarah Neal’s appliquéd tote can hold lots of goodies this Halloween. Made using aran yarn, the main section of the bag is a simple stocking stitch rectangle with the embellishments knitted separately. There’s a lot of shaping required on the cat and skull motifs so count your stitches carefully. Check out our top tip if you’d prefer to make a spook-tacular cushion instead. Double-pointed needles are used for the i-cord handles.
