We love expanding our knitting repertoire with clever stitch effects and here we bring you two more motifs to try, both featuring eye-catching cables. The Twisted Pyramids square uses tiny twists and a mini version of the traditional cable, while the Knotted Cable combines two twists in one. 24-square blanket: 124cm x 84cm
12-square blanket: 84cm x 64cm

What you need


Yarn: Aran, (A) Sage Green, (B) Lilac, three 50g balls of each, (C) Teal, two 50g balls, (D) Light Grey, (E) Fuchsia, three 50g balls of each, (F) Pistachio, four 50g balls
Needles: 5mm
Cable needles: two
Tapestry needle
NOTE: this is all the yarn and equipment needed for every part of the knitalong; shades and items in bold are used in this instalment. This makes a 24-square blanket. For a 12-square blanket, use two 50g balls of each
