What you need to know

This pretty, quick-knit project is brilliant for beginners to lace and chevron designs as it features a really easy two-row pattern repeat and one of those is a knit row! You'll quickly memorise the pattern so you'll be able to pop it in your bag to take on the go. Either wear this cowl as a hood to keep your head and ears warm, or arrange it cosily around your neck. It is knitted in the round on a circular needle.

To change this pattern to straight needles, cast on an additional two stitches (one at each end of the row for seaming) and work Row 2 as "purl to end". Work your extra stitches as k1 on a RS row and p1 on a WS row.
