Combine our two favourite hobbies in Susie Johns’ simple tunic
Some people see knitting and crochet as diametrically opposed crafts, but we like to think of them as a bit like tea and biscuits – they’re great individually but also work brilliantly together, as demonstrated in this pretty top. The main body of the garment is knitted in the round in simple stocking stitch, then the top section and lower hems are crocheted in a classic half treble pattern. It’s a lovely openwork design that is ideal for layering over a vest top or blouse for a chic summer look.
