What you need to know

Craft our three-quarter sleeve top knitting pattern, which features a heart motif.

To us, there are few things more satisfying than seeing neatly arranged eyelets create delicate motifs, so let’s just stop for a minute and appreciate this fabulous top pattern! This lightweight garment is knitted in a soft cotton yarn, a fibre which always has excellent stitch definition, and the short sleeves make it ideal for summer. Remember to block your finished project to even out the lace stitches.

Top knit tips

Have a practice of the cluster stitch before you start so you are comfortable with the technique.

This pattern uses ‘make one’ increases which are worked between stitches, rather than by knitting into a stitch like you would with a ‘kfb’. It’s important to use the correct method otherwise the motif and stitch count won’t work out.
