Although there is a fair bit of shaping, the stitches used are really simple. Take extra care when sewing the seams and embroidering the face as this is what will give your toy a really professional finish and make it a perfect gift.

Top knit tips

When stuffing the legs, fill firmly and make sure you push plenty of stuffing into the feet as these need to be quite large.

If you can’t crochet, make a plait for the great reigns instead.

Don’t cut the yarn after every stripe when knitting the cloth, simply carry the yarn not in use up the side of the work so you have fewer ends to sew in.
