What you need to know

Using chunky yarn, you can quickly knit Siân Brown’s snuggly blanket pattern.

Dig out your supersized needles and knit up some exceedingly cosy homewares. Although you are not actually working in the round for this project, a circular needle is required to accommodate the number of stitches and the weight of the throw as you knit. Just treat the tips as separate needles that just happen to be joined together and you won’t go wrong.

What do I need?

Yarn: Cygnet Seriously Chunky, shade 195 Light Grey, 12 x 100g balls
Needles: 12mm circular
Tapestry needle

Sizing

95cm wide x 112cm long

Top knit tips

It’s useful to be able to identify your stitches to keep your place in your pattern. Knit stitches look like little ‘v’ shapes, while purl stitches look like bumps. You might find it also helps to position stitch markers between each pattern repeat for added guidance.

This needle size is quite unusual but your local yarn store may be able to order them in for you, so pop in and ask!
