What you need to know

THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR MORE KNITTED TEDDY BEARS IN OUR COLLECTION, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN CREATED BY VAL PIERCE.

In keeping with their traditional looks, Val has called these knitted teddies Victoria and Albert, and what a handsome pair they make! He wears smart trousers with fancy braces, and we’re rather envious of Victoria’s matching cape and dress, with its fluffy trim and pretty Fair Isle detail. As ever, these toys are created with regular stitches and inexpensive yarns for all to enjoy, and to make things extra easy, the basic bear is the same, as the body and head are made all in one piece.

What do I need?

Top Knit Tips

“You can always omit the Fair Isle and fur trim for extra outfits in other shades.” LK Acting Deputy Editor Neti Love

“Faux fur yarns require a knot be tied at the end of the strand to prevent them from fraying.” LK DESIGNER, Val Pierce

Toy Clothes:
As with full–size garments, it is a good idea to try the clothes on the model before committing to final details. Adding buttons, and positioning the start and end points of shoe straps or trouser braces can all be done at the last minute to ensure a perfect fit, and will make dressing your toy or changing outfits that bit easier
