Top Knit Tips

Whenever you’re making toys, leave long yarn tails when you’re changing colours. These will then be used to stitch the work together for an invisible join.

If you’re going to be using safety eyes in a project, always do it before you construct the toy – it is much easier to attach them to the work before it’s all sewn together!

This project uses a cotton bud to support the elf’s head from within – if you don’t have any to hand or you’d rather not do this, you can miss this step completely. It’s not essential and aside from making his neck a little less sturdy, it won’t affect the rest of his construction.
