What you need to know
This beginner-friendly project uses basic stitches to create a seaside scene.
Nicola Valiji has designed a tea cosy with everything needed to brighten up your living space. This is a fantastic project to pick up and put down, as there are lots of individual elements for you to work on. Just remember to label your knitted pieces, as this will help you to avoid confusion further down the line!

Top knit tip
Cut three strands of yarn to the same length then fold in half. Loop the strands round so there is a knot at one end and a loop at the other. Hold the loop in place on a steady surface using a pin or hook. Take a pencil and thread it between the lengths just before the knot. Twist your pencil until the lengths become tight. Fold the lengths in half and allow the cord to twist round on itself. Being careful not to let the lengths lose their twist, tie a knot at each end of the cord.
