Get THREE free patterns in British wool, exclusively for Wool Week!
We’ve loved Wool Week 2013 – from hosting PicKnits to yarnbombing John Lewis, knitters up and down the country have been coming together to promote our beloved craft. Here at Let’s Knit, we’ve focused particularly on British Wool, and to celebrate, we’re releasing three patterns which use British wool – but quick! They’re only available until the end of October.
In an autumnal burnt orange with a lovely cable pattern, Anita is knitted in pure British
wool. It’s made from the top down, first by knitting the front and back separately, then by joining the pieces together and working in the round to the hem. This ingenious technique allows you to try on the garment as you knit it, ensuring that it fits you perfectly!
Arm warmers are a great solution for those of us who like to be cosy, and active at the same time. These stylish, textured mitts give you the freedom to type and you guessed it, knit to your hearts content wherever you might be this chilly Christmas season. Julie Ferguson has used gorgeously soft Juey yarn that simply hugs your hands.
This combination of good quality British yarn, and the use of a cable stitch throughout gives Miranda a lovely neat texture. Miranda is worked both flat and in the round, giving you the best of both worlds; a graceful finish with very little stitching to make up the garment. The scalloped edges, and the glorious fuchsia colour add a little femininity, and are guaranteed to brighten any gloomy winters day.
