I have indulged in a cheeky bit of crochet as light relief from intarsia
Hurrah! I have finished the star intarsia project! I’m super chuffed with the results and that I have remembered the techniques I learnt from the workshop and that I have put them to good use. It’s definitely got my creative brain ticking and I’ve been doing plently of doodle-o-grams of new knitty ideas!
I have even embraced designing some crochet items – only small mind, but it’s definitely a start. A couple of adorable amigurumi projects arrived at LK HQ this morning for a future issue, and not only are these too cute for words, they look like a lot of fun to make! I’m tempted to try my hand and creating kookie little characters of my own now!
It may be grey today, but here’s what’s bringing me some sunshine...
Tomorrow I get to meet my brand new nephew for the very first time! I’m really looking forward to seeing the little chap – if he’s like his brothers he will be a very handsome wee fella! Let’s hope he’s not camera shy – I’m a very snap-happy aunty and I plan on taking a bazillion photographs! Oh! And I can’t wait to see what he looks like in his Wee Willie Winkie hat and the BSJ!
