Issue 5 of Let's Knit is out now!
Every time we get the latest issue into the LK office we are always really pleased with how much there is in it – heaps of awesome knits for all abilities, news, gossips, fab reads and stacks of lovely goodies to buy!
A couple of things that made me smile today....
Seeing Ozzy in the mag!
I’m chuffed with the cheeky wee octopus! I wanted to make something fun that my nephew G would like and as he loves bathtimes what better than a cute wash mitt?!
Getting my new circular needle!
It is seriously long...100cm to be exact! I can’t wait to cast on, but will I still be smiling after I try to make two socks at once?

Hi just finished 2 little wash mitts (i love rainy days) they are great, popped a bar of soap in and they will go in my shoeboxes for the charity I support. Love them

Loved anne40’s idea of popping a bar of soap inside the wash mitt. What a lovely present that would make!
I’m currently somewhat obsessed with cotton wash cloths/dish cloths/pan holders - the sort you knit diagonally in garter starting with 4 stitches and increasing each row until you reach half the size you want and then decreasing each row until you get back to 4 stitches and cast off.
It’s dead simple and I could give the full pattern if anybody wanted it. Very useful stash buster to use up those odds and sods of cotton yarn left over at the end of a summer of knitting cotton tops, and fun to do too.
