From stripes to spots – it's been a colourful journey!
This is a teeny-weeny peek of something that I have been working on for issue 7. I have replaced my passion for stripes with a love for spots. There is something hugely satisfying about drawing up a chart then watching the pattern appearing – not to mention finally getting to grips with twisting the floats at the back!
As for what’s new on the needles, at Stitch’n’Bitch last night I cast on 160 stitches for the Elizabeth Zimmermann Baby Surprise Jacket and worked one row (perhaps more time was spent chatting than actually knitting!) Only to look at it this morning and realise that I had done something wrong - hence no pics!
It may well be a new World Record to mess up a pattern on the very first row. It has now been frogged and the stitches cast on ready to try again...watch this space!

Love the colour mix here ,there is a great video on 2 colour knitting and holding the yarn :1 in each hand so the right hand needle knits ‘british’and your left hand knits ‘european ‘
if this sounds daunting it isn’t it really is easy
