I’m assuming (like janetburton in another thread in this section) that “frog” means unpick or maybe throw away or give up on?
Where on earth did that come from, does anyone know?  I’ve never heard the term before but I like it.
Is it because you could say “Oh FROG it!!!” as you throw the knitting down it disgust, I wonder?

I had NEVER heard of it before I found this forum and I am assuming it is being a polite way of saying “to unpick”.  confused

it’s when you take it off the needles and unravel a lot of rows - you rip-it rip-it. Hence frog.

When you knit a few stitches back to correct an error you tink (knit backwards).
