Knitting Lingerie Style - Joan McGowen-Michael, Thayer

Does anybody have or have they seen this book?  Do you rate it at all?  I’ve seen some nice patterns at Ravelry from it and am wondering whether to buy the book for £13.20 on a EBay shop or not.

Do you recommend it?

I would recommend you go to a library or book shop FIRST if you can and have a look at what is actually in the book to see if you would ever make any of the stuff in there. Unless you are a Miss Moneybags????? It seems an awful lot for a book if you can get the patterns from Ravelry.

Yes definately go to the library I am in 2 being on the border of Leeds and Wakefield, I looked them up online and reserved them, you can order them to come to your local library and then return them to any library in the county, it is around 50-75p to reserve, so is worth it before buying x Janet

it was reviewed on the knitpicks podcast and it sounded interesting. the patterns are mostly based on lingerie, rather than being lingerie items themselves ( so a top with a lacey edge.) You do need to see the patterns though before you buy
check the reviews on amazon

and it might be cheaper there too.

OH I think 3 heart attacks is more than enough to cope with. He gets just enough excitment to keep him in trim tongue wink tongue wink
