Be careful Gill or the Knitting Police will be onto you for getting serious.  But it does make you think about things with a slightly different slant doesnt it?  I had a car crash in 1993 - December 23rd, on a roundabout near to where my (now hubby) boyfriend lived.  The Roundabout no longer exists as an underpass is there now, the crash barrier I went through is gone too, and so is the landmark pub which was on the other side of the road, AND we no longer live anywhere near it - a mere 30 miles away in fact.  And yet when anybody mentions the area (on radio travel reports, or family) I get a shiver.  As I also do when for some most unnerving reason I get the heebie jeebies on the day and rough time that I had the accident.

Thank yoooooouuuuuu!!
My mum says ‘If we only have one life, next time i’ll do it better’ which I think means just have fun and don’t worry about it!  I am glad it wasn’t your time Gill cos I enjoy your posts and I’m sure you brighten up numerous lives other than mine and your kids and grand kids adore you.  God bless your friend’s family tonight and every night and I’m sorry you had a trauma like that to live through.  Losing a friend so tragically must have been horrible for you, but I’m sure there is one more angel looking over you now. Huuuug x

Certainly does. I cant face the thought of Chelsea on TV so I avoid it as we were bringing a van load of exhibits back from there. Every year it is all over the tv AND the gardening mags so there is no escape, you just have to learn to live with it. At least the person who caused the accident got jailed even though she only did half the sentence.

Well probably the least said about that the better, eh?

I have utmost respect for Police etc, but when you really need to rely on them something always seems to happen.  OR is that just me?  Like when you see a drunk driver who happens to live in the flat above you and you report it to the Police as if hubby had been on his late shift the ******** would have run him over, then when the CPS decides not to take said ******** to Court he comes to your front door and tells you he knows you’re the *********** who reported me to the Police - I know cos my Solicitor told me.  Well thanks for that!  Grrr… Anyway now we’ve wound each other nice and tight - I am going to bed to try to get some sleep!  AFter checking my mail anyway!  Night night. xx

Thank you Opurple!  You are very kind, I think they say ‘a good marriage is one where both people think they got the better deal’! Congrats on 30 years!

I’m glad you were ok Leigh, these things are humbling but strangely empowering in that they teach you to live in the moment a little more as the future is never a given.  I try not to argue hugely with anyone these days or leave under a cloud if I can help it cos who knows eh?  Thank goodness for wisdom, love, friendships and good fortune.  Hope you are all safe tonight x

Yes very humbling.  The only problem I have is the hot-headed-ness I get from being the daughter of a Firecracker Dad and Red-head mum!

What lovely pictures Montaferra...you made a beautiful bride...you are a very pretty girl and you and your groom just looked made for each other.  I wasn’t on when you posted the pics and was delighted to see them this morning when I logged in.  Looks like you have a really lovey family Montaferra...and I wish you and your husband every happiness in your life ahead. I’ve saved your pics to my file so that I can have a ‘wee keek’ again later.

Congratulations on your wedding.  Lovely photos, you all look so happy.  We celebrate our 30th WA on August 12th.  It doesn’t seem like more than 2 minutes ago.
