Not sure if this is in the right place, BUT, not having been here that long can I ask if anyone elses hubby moans about how much wool they have and how much knitting they do !!!
I now very cleverly get yarn secretly into the house, it goes upstairs in the loft where I now have a whole bookshelf to myself, (it was stored behind the settee before and it was on show far too much!) So only my current projects are downstairs, so has eased the situation a bit, he said a year ago (before my grandaughter appeared) he didn’t even know I could knit, lol, I don’t even think he realises that I get knitting magazines either, he says he will be glad when I tire of it, little does he know knitting becomes a way of life ! x Janet

Good another secret yarn buyer...and hider smile I used to just keep mine at the back of the sofa too Janet..and then as it grew I moved it upstairs to a cupboard here in my wee computre room.  Bill is so laid back that it never bothers him how much I knit...thankfully...and he knows I get some knit mags as he has to collect them for me sometimes (nice man that he is) Today he took me to Glasgow which is a 70 mile round trip and that was for me to go to John Lewis for some Rowan books and some new yarn which I was looking for.  I got a couple of Rowan adult books and a Debbie Bliss one for kids stuff.
I also got some lovely Rowan Kidsilk Haze to do my daughter in law a top as I’m almost finished the cardi I am doing for her.
I have done so much baby and kids things for Maya so her mama says its her turn just now.  I enjoy kniting for all of them.

awwwwww what a lovely man, I can usually con OH into going somewhere of my choice and surprise surprise there is a knitting shop there, (oh how did that happen ??)I have a neighbour who likes knitting and crafts so we quite often go for a jaunt and find a knitting or craft shop along the way, (he’s not too bad most of the time, really, he thinks if I am knitting cannot be paying attention to him lol but as everyone knows we can multitask) x Janet

I am very lucky indeed, I have a tolerant husband who is terribly sweet about the things I knit - what a man!

Luckily my husband is soon to be an ex-husband so he can’t moan anymore about how much money I choose to spend on my hobbies!

DB (dearest beloved) is the sweetest alive..he will and has driven several hours because I heard a wool shop was having a sale, or if he is on ebay..check for bargains. He has gone into little craft shops on his way home from conferences, to buy findings, hooks, books...he will even search bargain bins with me. The one thing he will NOT do, is wear a home knit, no matter how well made he says..nope looks home knit. LOL He loves his big blankets, but won’t wear a jumper scarf or hat if it isn’t shop bought. I don’t mind really, means I can make more stuff for me!!

Wahey I’m not alone, my hubby hates almost everything about my knitting, the way it takes over the house, my time and my attention. The noise my needles make when he is trying to watch the tv and the money I spend on yarn, patterns etc (and he doesn’t know the half of it!).
I’m not too bothered I’ve had to put up with his obbsessions for years, loud music blasting in the kitchen whilst I’m trying to watch tv, vegatable seeds/ catologues everywhere having to water greenhouses when he is at work because he got up too late to do it himself. At one point I thought making cabbage leaves into underwear and wearing them would be the only way he would notice me he was so blinkered. but I put up with his obsessions so he can now do the same for me.

Yes I gave up smoking last year, so can justify spending some money on wool anyway, he’s not too bad but can be sarky about things I just ignore him now, lol xx

I think the NHS & Irelands health service should have knitting and crochet as part of their quit smoking programmes! I quit 3 years ago and keeping the hands busy was one of the BIGGEST aids! Well done all you fellow smoke free zones!!!
