I have two boys aged 3 and 4 who are both proper teddy bear kids, any toy I knit will have to be done twice as world war 3 will break out. I’m sure I have a few patterns etc lying around I could get them both to choose one each, that might work.!!

Gosh yes nicky you have your hands full! everything in twos!! But I think they are lovely looking boys and look so happy too, all your hard work with them is paying off, but how will you decide whos to knit first?

How did you get the link onto your posts to your photos? I am so slow with this techno stuff, next week I could show you all if the bunny was well received by Abi this weekend if I can work out how to link to flickr confused Jane

Nicky you will have to knit a bit of each toy one at a time and finish them both at the same time so there’s no fighting.  I bet each of them will prefer the other one’s toy whatever you do!

I agree with that nightswimmer, and make sure the finishing touches are done when they are in bed so they are both finshed together, then just leave them in the middle of the ‘arena’ for the next morning - stand back and see what happens. Am I thick, what’s a knit metre? would be interesting to see how many miles of yarn pass through my hands each month.

ps just found fast reply everyone - what a difference!

Jane, your bunny is gorgeous, so nice to finally meet him grin

Natalie, you’d be surprised how easy paddington was, no tricky knitting at all....the stuffing and finishing was the hardest part, trying to get him from a pile of knitted pieces to something that resembled a bear!!

This week i made a few more pairs of baby shoes and tried a knitted/felted piece using ‘Freedom Spirit’....lets just say i probably left it in the washing machine too long...ended up felting the sides in on themselves so some parts were too bulky and other parts didnt felt at all, but i used what i could of it and made a wee pathetic looking ipod cover!  confused needless to say i wont be using it!!!! lol

I think the shoes are great too.
I think with the toys I will have a go but I will do them after they have gone to bed and suprise then one morning when they get up.  I already have a few things on my needles at the moment and this beautiful weather is pulling me outside to restore the gardens to a former glory they had a few years ago but for various reasons went downhilll the last few years. I will keep you posted.
Jane if you type, or cut and paste a web link into the text of a message or signature strip it automatically gets highlighted as a link. Can you personalise your photobucket address like you can on flicr?

aww the shoes are soooo cute!!!

I dont think i could tackle the bear, just looking through the magazine I cant do most of the patterns as I’m a beginner i’m not sure how to do the fancy stitches like inc1, passo, skpo, ssk.. etc etc… all i know is knit, purl, knit two together, cast on and cast off… i’ll figure the rest out eventually when i’ve got time to search for vidoes online… by the way does anyone know of any site where I can find vidoes for watching how to do certain stitches? I’ve tried youtube but they don’t have the above stitches there as far as i know…

I use http://www.photobucket.com for all my pictures, once you have them uploaded into your photobucket album a series of codes appears below each image....i think its the 3rd one down for the HTML coding, just click on that and its instantly copied....then paste it into your message on here

..........hope that helped!

I knitted a black cardigan at the request of my daughter, for Freya, she said she had a few things that would look nice with a black cardigan, it did seem strange knitting a baby item in black, but she did look nice in it, my daughter said she HATED pink when she was pregnant, but soon changed her mind after, but I do try and do things in different colours for her, x Janet
