Don’t worry Gill I know what you mean, yes I do love them 1000000000% of the time but every so often I do think AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH you plonker!!! and then “where did I go wrong?” but you still love them even when you have to walk out the room in case you pull your own hair out with frustration.

Look at the time I really do have to have a shower and get moving, have just had a very disturbing image of MIL knocking the door to see what I’m up to cos she knows hubby is round the allotment. Major disapproval as she thinks I should be helping, she cannot grasp the fact Mark has told me he doesn’t want me to go round in very no uncertain terms(a little bad language was used but I shall not hold it against him as I was not that fussed about helping I just thought I should show willing,)she thinks I should ignore him and go anyway. I am not going where I’m not wanted and am more than happy to stay in warm and knitting even if it does involve housework first. Beside another new knitting mag(sorry a rival) came through the post this morning, so another excuse to be at home. (this is where I should insert a devil smiley) tongue laugh

The visit didn’t/hasn’t materialised (yet) but footballs on the radio (Villa are winning again woohoo)so she usually turns up when its on. I have had visitors (again)all morning so the housework didn’t get done till just over an hour ago. The only time people turn up at my house is when it looks like a bomb has hit it. If I have a good go and its gleaming noone comes to see me for a week and then believes me when I say my house was spotless.!!!!!

Told you she has just turned up. Need to kiss hubby, he’s told her I’m cleaning the bathroom so she doesn’t know I’m on the pc. Bless him.

Good for Luke...he’s on your side Nicky...I can see you have your same problems with your MIL as I have with Bill’s auntie.... smile We saw her last night and the first thing she asked me was had I been back to the doctor to see about my blood pressure (it has been high for a wee while but doctor is monitoring it)when I said I would be going next week she suddenly shouted at me me “for goodnes sake do you want to take a stroke”?  Honestly Nicky...I nearly did take a stroke holding myself back from telling her I was not a child and it was none of her business.  She just can’t refrain from meddling in anyone else’s life...it is no wonder my blood pressure is up confused grrr  angry

Oma it’s Knitting the one with the kiddie freebie in last month, I think I have received it a little earlier than normal because it usually around a week after Lets Knit. Another freebie supplement this month of designer knits to celebrate their 50th issue. Some cool stuff that I would love to tackle.

Yes Mark is on my side Oma, MIL seems to have had a bad few days this week after me singing her praises last week!!. My SIL caused it though not us!!! for a change but its also a bad time of year for her. It’s all four of her childrens bithdays over the next few weeks as well her own and what would have been Kens next month and she always goes down a bit around now. By the end of May shes usually back to normal. Mark phoned her Tuesday and she was in a foul mood and she had a few pops at me about Max going to preschool for two full days a week (he’s not four yet and he starts school in sept I should be making the most of my time with him.)And also I don’t get up at 5.30am to do all my housework like she used to with four children and because she also HAD to work to make ends meet!! No he couldn’t work that one out either.
Just a bumpy patch she will be her usual sunny self in no time but for now Mark thinks shes a little crackers and is looking out for me. She was quite sunny today also.

Ps Oma high blood pressure just calls for more calming theraputic knitting. And also I find hand gestures behind ones back very very juvenile but very satisfying at the same time.

Wonderful words Nicky....I shall practise very hard before I see auntie again...but no doubt with her having eyes in the back of her head she will find me out. rolleyes

My stepdaughter Ruth told me she met ‘great auntie’ in Ayr High Street last week and auntie asked her where she was going.  Ruth told her she was on her way to Debenhams to buy some sunglasses that she had seen. Auntie then asked her how much the sunglasses were and Ruth told her they were £20....To that auntie asked her quite angrily why she didn’t just go to the chemist and buy a pair like she did when she was young.  Auntie is 84 this year and Ruth is 29....I will not print here what my step daughter told her..Ruth can be quite outspoken.  She phoned me that evening to tell me all about it and to knock her off my Christmas dinner list for this year as she is definately not coming if auntie is still in this world...we laughed for ages at it....as I could just imagine Ruth’s answers to her.

As much as I love him to bits he is a part time treasure only, the rest of the time is spent being moody or grumpy and occasionally both. Usually when I am on the pc or knitting, he told me last night that I love knitting more than him and was less than impressed when I didn’t say that’s not true a little quicker. ooppss
