I am 43 and i love all these up to date bands much to the horror of my sons who think i should like 70’s music, but feeder and depeche mode i do like,i will say that i have a dean martin CD as i like him and his singing.

Bit of a rock chick and indie girl myself cheryl, kids love it though. hubby went with daughter to see lost prophets a few years back(I was heavily preggers and couldn’t go downer ). At the moment loving The Enemy, (very local to us about 10 miles away) Lost prophets before the stylist got to them though, Simple Plan still love Linkin Park, Jet, The Kooks and loads more but also like most other music including Dean Martin but I especially adore Doris Day. Music is a big thing in our house much more so than tv.

Far too many, WE get Kerrang radio in Birmingham and its fab. The boys are getting into it as well, they have two stereos one in the consvatory where some of there toys are and one in their bedroom. Their favourite song for ages has been Monster by The Automatic. They shut the door turn it up and dance. Very funny to watch.  They also have regular punk fest sessions in our bedroom with daddy usually when he is shaving his head (too much grey he reckons)and getting ready for a bath. This involves them playing punk music very loud and jumping up and down on our bed dancing and singing, they have been known to beak the frame before now. Nightmare to calm them down after but they love it. I have a 5 year old nephew who only listens to will young, girls aloud and leona lewis. My boys just go UUUURRGGHH girly music rubbish!!

No not old hat, plenty of stones tracks that I like and even Luke has a load of meatloaf on his Ipod. Don’t worry and I also like classical occasionally. The only music I can’t stand is that garage stuff. Oh and techno dance rubbish. Music should have heart and soul, I know people would argue speeed and death metal doesn’t but I can hear it.

I love fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks has a fantastic style, I couldn’t get away with it but I wish I could. Knitting all those frills and flounces would take forever though, I hope you have a lot of patience!!!

I would knit a cashmere scarf for Jose Mourinho, or a beanie hat for Christopher Ecclestone, and maybe a pair of knickers for Paris Hilton so that she can cover herself up LOL

I’ve got quite mixed musical tastes, Depeche Mode, Stranglers, Police, the Cure Alison Moyet from the 80’s, and glum rock from the noughties ( Keane, Coldplay), my son has raided our vinyl and copied The Lighthouse Family and Scorpions, and he listens to Linkin Park at full volume when he goes to the footie matches with his Dad. His first concert was Elliot Minor in Edinburgh. Daughter likes the girly stuff, Take That and Mika .... ah well

My best mate loves Dave Gahan!  He could just do with a whole wardrobe of knitwear to keep him warm - he’s far too skinny to survive in this cold weather! LOL

Jumper for Roy appeal - great idea (rather like my “Feed The Corrs” appeal of a few years back where me and a friend rattled a plastic cup of change at Ronan Keating asking him to help feed the Corrs cuz they all needed a good feeding up!)!

Definitely with you on the naked men just looking silly, Gill!  I’ve always said they look like partially decorated Xmas trees!  Just a few dangly bits and nothing much else to show!  They look better with clothes on!  And as for the uniform - I still haven’t got over the 1995 Boyzone concert in Dublin where they appeared on stage with the Top Gun style white naval uniforms on!  Oooh, that was melt worthy!  I have photos somewhere! tongue laugh

I’m going to see Linkin Park in June - maybe I could whip up a nice tank top for Chester! LOL  D’ya think his missus would mind?
