Good morning ladies...alas the sunshine has eluded Ayrshire today...it is raining and I can’t see the hills in front of me for mist...pure Scottish mist.  However I won’t let this get me down..because it won’t last...this is sunny Ayrshire.  rolleyes However it has it’s blessings...the garden looks so fresh with all the little yellow daffy’s and pink tulips standing there in all their glory...Alan Titchmarsh would be so proud of me....whose kidding who here...I won’t be able to get my wahing out if this rain keeps on. grrr

Now I am off to change the bed and get the washing machine on and then get some housework done and bake a batch of fruit loaves for my diabetic hubby...who devours them with the excuse that he can’t eat cakes..oh well I must keep him happy after all he runs me to and fro to all the yarn shops in Scotland...(I know he dreads retirement in August wondering just how many yarn shops there are south of the border) At the moment I am secretly making a list of every yarn shop in the UK that anyone mentions on here… wink
Right..back to business I must go and get on...the quicker the chores are done the quicker the needles get clacking and I’m really enjoying doing this cardi for my DIL from this months issue of Let’s Knit mag...I have to get it finished to get on with whatever is in my new Let’s Knit which I don’t get till Friday downer .....because as sure as little acorns grow into big oak trees...there will be lots in it to do......so before you all fall asleep reading this ....I’m gone!!!!
Have a great day ladies and no doubt we will meet up later in here.... :lol

PS...you can all have a copy of my book when it comes out...better than any sleeping pills LOL

ANOTHER good morning all. I am having a few typing problems this morning, my finger is wearing out!!!!! Iwill be ever so glad when I can manage with two !!!!!!!  I think after my efforts on the other thread my coffee has worked!!!!! I went mad yesterday and bought some SOCK WOOL AAAAAAAARRRRRRRHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! what have you all done to me??????  BUT… I am NOT making socks.... Ihave got some wartime patterns for some slippers which will be great in the modern sock wool. Iwent a bit mad..sssshhhhhhhh dont tell “HwN” he doesnt know how much it was. I bought REGIA in the bluey browny mix. The shop also runs lots of courses in their annexe in the SHAMBLES in YORK so if you see them on the www. you will know where I go occasionally for wool. I have also told “he who nags” that we ARE going for a run to Withearnsea so look out Paula I wil see you there tongue wink HI NICKY, my you are a busy knitter...it is taking me ages to get my knitting finished...too much chat not enough knit so I am off now, have a lovely day everyone .....back later LOL  GILLxx

Hi Gill....I agree with you on the above....since finding this forum I think it seems to get more time than my knitting....however it has been so great getting to know all of you on here and it is fun.  If I had as many projects on the go as Nicky I would never have time to finish them all...you would have to take my computer away from me confused to make more time for knitting...but I would miss you all tongue laugh
No wonder I seemed to have a lot of time for the needles before I found this site....but I’m staying!!!!!!!!!!!

It has stopped Cheryl...I told you it would.  The hills are now clear and the sun has come out.  I’m sorry you are having a bad headache...maybe you do need some specs Cheryl.  I need specs for close work and reading but not for TV.  Hope they get to the bottom of it tomorrow and if you do need them they help to alleviate your headaches....go have a cuppa my dear and put your feet up for a while...I shall be thinking of you. smile

Maybe but you have progressed from smileys to quotes, well done. You’ll be losing that technophobe label before long.
