Finally, the last spot has disappeared and with that I finally decided to try the criss cross scarf pattern again.  I have at last mastered it.  It does pay to put things down if they are winding you up and then go back to it again.  I have practiced on two of my dpn’s and using a baby double knit.  It looks great, am so pleased with it.

To anyone who is still trying this pattern, be patient and it will happen!!

Hi Shbachan...glad you’re feeling better and all your spots have gone...you’re right...when you leave a problem bit for a while and return with a fresh mind it usually works out.

Glad your chicken pox has cleared up. Nasty things, I remember getting it when I was 23, and the spots appeared in Disneyland Paris of all places! How many more kids could I infect? lol

Chicken Pox!!!

Poor you. My hubby got it about 15 years ago and he was laid up for two weeks.

My toddler who had given it to him, naturally was fine, but it seems to affect adults really quite badly.

I’m pleased you’re getting better smile

We worried when the littlies got them earlier last month because in older folk they come out as SHINGLES which is very painful and can return at other times, keep an eye on Granny!!!!!!!! tongue wink GILLxx

They only come out as shingles if you’ve had the chicken pox already. For some reason it stays dormant in your system for years until you’re really stressed.

I’ve never had chicken pox....so does that mean I can’t have shingles???...not that I want them confused ....just thought I would ask.

I dont think you would get shingles, but if you get chicken pox later in life it is very painful, and you can be very poorly for months.

Glad you’re feeling better! Chicken pox is an absolute pig. I’m so grateful to my mum for sending me to stay with a friend with chicken pox when I was 8.

Is that the “wish” scarf? I’m about halfway through one now. I’m getting pretty bored with it so I’ve just put it away and I’m on the look out for something little to get some instant gratification.
