Ladies I read that lots of you are doing baby things with your spare wool. Have you ever thought of using it in a blanket, for every project you knit, knit a square and sew them all together to make I nice blanket that you could also use for underprivilge babies or as cot blankets for your own. Its a nice way of remembering what you did with each different wool. You could always use them as practice squares for stitches your not sure of.

I already do that. I have also made tapestry pictures with the wool I used for my (now adult) childrens clothes.

that’s a really good idea!

I used a couple of knitted squares to keep my jewellery neat and tidy and although it was more for practical reasons (kept standing on them confused) than decorative everyone keeps complementing me on them!

That’s a great idea to use up all those odd half balls.

I even use spare sock yarn and make mitred blankets for my Romanian orphans.

That’s a lovely idea Connie...and they are very attractive with all your bits and bobs on them.
