hi
they are so easy to do, just knit and purl, nothing complicated otherwise i wouldn’t be able to do them, have done 8 so far, the 2 that arn’t on the photo were football ones complete with stripes and studs really good for a footy fan as you can do them in team colours, even done one for the dog last year and filled it up with toys and treats and yes I did hang it over the fireplace, they are Jean Greenhowe patterns,

is anyone old enough to remember the knitted swimming costumes way back in the late 40’s my neighbour knitted me and my twin sister one, the first time in the sea it went all baggy and finished up round our ankles and the sea water turned a shade of red.

Jake,

I love the stockings - where did the pattern come from?

Doubt I’d have one ready for this christmas though - might be looking at 2009!
