This one is for Ds2 friend birthdays on saturday

the yarn is sirdar duet in gold. I have to do the appendages and stuff him but I am pleased so far. the only problem I have is holes above the bobbles, can I fix this easily do you think?

That is great ! If I get a hole, I sew it in the same wool, probably not the best way, but as long as it doesn’t show, I’m happy !!  x Janet

Well done, but the only way to lose the holes now is to sew them closed before you stuff it. If you knit another knit into the back of the last stitch of the bobble and then pull the yarn tight.

If you do bobbles and have holes, when on the next row pick up the thread and knit it with that stitch this will ensure no holes. Now that it is finished just sew it up. Its excellent and well done you.

Oh well, looks like sewing needles instead of knitting ones tonight then

Mind how you go on the base as it gets very fiddly as you go further in to the centre. Stuff as far as you can first and then keep topping it up as you go, then you just finish off at the end but careful not to overstuff as you can get a bit of a convex shape if you do. Then it won’t stand tidy!!!
