I feeling in a decidedly silly mood this morning - very tired as we had quite a late night last night and Dad and Tony were off to play Golf at 6.30 so I got up in case Mum or little bro (35 year old little Bro, but he’s my little bro none the less!) wanted anything.  They’re not daft - it’s 8am and they’re still in bed!

I’m not sure but I think I must’ve had a dodgy prawn in my special fried rice last night.  Well what else could it be?  I mean there was nothing wrong with the Valpolicella we had, and my shandy’s tasted perfectly fine....

And I just realised that we didn’t have the bottle of bubbly I put in the fridge!  Not thinking of having it on my cereal tho…

I was going to be very wicked today.  Mum and dad gave us a cheque (quite a large one in fact!) cos it was our anniversary yesterday, they didn’t know what to get us and also my brother’s moving into his first flat of his own so they’ve bought him furniture and bits so have done us a cheque to the same amount.  I had purposely left it with the anniversary card they gave us knowing MIL will look at it (if we’re in later when they arrive- please hope we’re not!) but Tony put it in our bedroom last night.  Boo.  I was looking forward to seeing her face when she saw it!!

Anyway better be off as I can hear movement from upstairs.  MUm and I are off to Bluewater today.  Hooray!!

Have a good Sunday everyone, and careful with those needles.

Happy anniversary LeighB.  My anniversary is in September 25 ( 43 years). Where have the years gone? They (who every they are) say time flies when you are enjoying yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weather here in central Scotland - dull and overcast- looks like rain.  DD and I are going to see Mama Mia this afternoon. Leaving DH to watch the motor racing - not my cup of tea.

Knittingwise - to-night I hope to finish my second sock - on the final run - just a couple of inches from the toe ( Christmans pressie for son).

Happy hols to our English friends - I also have the bank holiday off ( work for an American firm with English hols in Scotland - all friends together.)

Happy anniversary Leigh, enjoy Bluewater - you should be able to walk off that hangover lol!  Haven’t you learnt by now never to mix grape and grain.  It’s fatal.

Got another lazy day today.  It seems so strange without any children around.  The house is immaculate, it’s raining so can’t get out in the garden, Steve is still fast asleep so I guess I’ll sit and knit whilst watching the last day of the olympics.  I had to stop quite early last night as my left wrist was really hurting.

Morning all, Leigh I think its a rule that at least one of us on the forum has a hangover on Saturday or Sunday!
Absolutely lashing it down today - and we are due to go to a 25th Wed Ann BBQ - all these people that get married around now!!! So happy Anns to all of you.
And Clare ... I think that’s so ironic - get some quality knitting time available and have your wrist hurting downer  So sending a get well x
Meanwhile, I’m enjoying a gentle morning ...  just on second cup of tea and reading on here, of course!
Have a great day everybody!
x

Happy Anniversary to all those who are celebrating.  Got sun and cloud this morning.  I’m going to have a lazy day if you can call doing nothing but knit being lazy.  He’s to work in the garden, if he ever gets dressed.  Our garden is on a very steep slope down to the back fence and he’s to step it as I fall over when I’m tring to hang the washing out.

Happy Anniversary Leigh.
Sunny but windy here today. Just settling down to some craft time. Must make a card for my nephew for his GCSE results - and some knitting of course.

All other sentiments voiced in the above messages and so on and so forth! LOL

I let the dog out at about 8.30 this morning and then went back to bed til almost 12!  Aston’s still out with his dad so I’m going to try and get some more knitting done.  Did some earlier and it was making me so tired I had to put it down and fell asleep through most of the Grand Prix!

The dog stinks and is, for some reason, desperate to be by me today.  Bought her a rawhide bone and she’s still sat at my feet eating it!  I gave it to her in her bed!  Weirdo dog!  Will have to give her a bath later!

Leigh - hope you’ve come home with armfuls of lovely yarn from John Lewis!!! wink

Hi all and thanks for the Anniversary wishes, and back again to those who are also celebrating.

I have got an armful of wool, hooray (hubby says, personally I can take it or leave it!!) He just whacked me and said take it back and get a refund then!  I got four balls of Regia Sock wool (sorry GG) and to be honest can’t even remember the colours.  Had a lovely lunch/dinner at a Beefeater near home.  IF I think of it I will take pics of the wool so you can see colours.  Gotta go - jeans are busting at the seams and I want to go relax with some knitting!

Lots of love to all

xx
