good morning, at last some sun!! making the house look and smell nice (ie throwing things in the cupboard and putting on the oil burners, followed by a quick run over with the hoover) - just so I can pretend to be a super housewife, then taking the kids and my knitting to the garden where I will be all day - enjoy the sun while it’s here everyone

No plans for the weekend, hoping to get some work done in the garden, by that I mean I will watch hubby to make sure he makes a decent job of it, whilst I knit.  I am just happy not to have to set the alarm clock again until Monday night.

Morning all!  I still feel rather bleurgh but I’m kind of getting on with it.  Still got my jim jams on! LOL
Aston’s upstairs in his playroom playing with his trains (and making a hell of a mess by the sound of it!) at the moment so I’m leaving him to it.  I’ll get him dressed and ready for his Dad to pick him up at about midday though.  I think then, if the weather’s still the same, I’ll take the dog out and wear her out so I can have a sleep this afternoon.

Got a Swampy Ewe-Knitted meeting tonight but dunno if anyone’s going to turn up!!! I know 2 people can’t make it and one of our ladies is going to try and come along despite still recovering from a knee op.  My mum doesn’t know if she’ll make it cuz they have my niece for the weekend.  Dunno if my cousin will come or not so it might just be me!  I’ll have no one to show off my new interchangeable circs to!  They finally arrived this morning at about 7.30am! haha!  Glad to be woken up for that though!  Almost makes up for the dog chewing up 3 of my Brittany double pointed needles!

I am having such a lazy time!  Yesterday we had all three kids so we took them for a dawdle round Bluewater and then we went to the flicks.  The boys went to one film and I took Louise to see Mama Mia.  I saw it at the theatre and hated it, but loved loved loved the film.  There’s something about Meryl Streep I really like and it was so lovely to see her being really frivolous and silly.  And any film with Colin Firth and Pearce Brosnan can never be time wasted!

Dropped James off to Jon’s in the evening and he’s off to France for a week.  I’m so looking forward to a quiet house for a week and I can tidy at my own pace this weekend with no interuptions.  However I do realise that come Monday, it will have been long enough and I’ll start pining for him.  He behaved like a demon child from hell all day yesterday so I was pleased to drop him off.  Sam and Louise have already gone this morning.  Steve is playing in a gig later so it’s feet up knitting with X Factor and Big Brother tonight Yay!

We thought about going up to London tomorrow to check out all the Olympic closing ceremony concerts but it seems like it’s a free concert, but only if you’ve been allocated tickets in advance, so we aren’t going to bother now.  We are going out for dinner tomorrow evening, as we don’t have to worry about babysitters and I want to try out a mussels and Belgian Beer place.

I’m now sitting here downloading songs to my new ipod.  I have terrible taste in music lol.  You don’t realise until you put all your favourites in one place, songs from Jesus Christ Superstar and Bette Midler mixed with the Arctic Monkeys and Oasis.

Tidying up the garden today, and knitting grin
My daughter went up the garden path today and found some very strange creatures on the path. We’ve identified them as elephant hawk moth caterpillars.

Oh yes - weird aren’t they.  I remember my cousin finding one in the garden years ago and keeping it indoors so it didn’t get eaten.

Afternoon. I have today been invigorated!!! Went into town caus I been feeling a bit low over the last few weeks. Mooching around Boyes I looked through one of their pattern books and saw a jumper I realy liked the look of...so bought pattern as well as the yarn!!! Now I can’t wait to cast on...am actually excited...which I not been for a while.
Not that I needed anymore yarn...or Patterns but I fell in love with it. As a matter of fact if i look at it propperly it isn’t realy right for my size to wear something like that....but what the Heck I want it i can make it so chuffing well will:)
Hope everyone is having a smashing knitterly great Bank Holiday xxx

Evening all, i am back from Cornwall, weather was more miss than hit, loads of rain, a few landslides while down there did not affect us, but felt sorry for the locals it did affect.  On a brighter note it gave me plenty of time for my knitting.  Got 12 wash cloths done for Christmas presents and 8 rabbits done, will post photos hopefully tomorrow.  Bought some wool while down there so even though i knitted all the above i actually came back with more wool than i went with.  It will take me days to read what everyone has been up to, but i will get there!
