Hi girls, have just finished another pair of fingerless gloves but this time in white and just above the cable at the wrist, I have added crystal beads. I really enjoyed doing them, it takes some of the monotany of just plain knitting.

Clever old stick aint ya!

I have just printed off the pattern for the Baby bootees Frudart has put on here but am thinking maybe I oughta make myself another pair of these. I’ve got a pair in Sirdar Blur (the grey marley one) and did think about putting beads on them, but I think it’s going to be a MUST DO after seeing your beautious ones!  Well done.  What you got lined up for me to drool over next?!

Hi girls, I am currently designing a pattern to send to Laura.  I have frogged it twice already but am getting there.  Its got a few beads in it and am now finatic about them.

My sister in law now wants a set of fingerless gloves but in black with the crystal beads on.  Wish I’d not shown them now.  But then again, may hold onto them when they are made for christmas for her.

Love Sues

It’s dreadful isn’t it thinking that we might get something done by Christmas, and its 4 months away yet!  I want to do myself another pair of these cos they’re fantastic for doing my Beading classes in - for obvious reasons can’t use gloves then and the room we do our classes in is blooming freezing after September until about April!!  I was only thinking the other day that if I want to make some Christmassy decs from beads I really need to be starting soon as I missed that particular boat last year…

Ooh I love it when a girl from the Nam comes good.  Or gets out whatever comes first!!  Nothing wrong with the Nam, just most of the inbreds that live there now (Not you OBVIOUSLY, Sues) xx

I have got so many ideas for knitting but not enough time.  I am going to use this week, being home with my feet up, to get my head around it all.

Hi Leigh,

My legs are slowly getting better.  The blisters are all coming out now (yuk) but the leg is still swollen quite a bit.  Have been trying to put my feet up regular intervals, but you know what its like when things need to be done.

I rang my boss this afternoon and said I can come back to work tomorrow if I can have my legs elevated and she refused.  So am going to doctors again Friday morning for a sick certificate.  I just hope the doc doesnt send me to the hospital to go on an IVD for antiobiotics.  Thats all I need.

We’ll see.  Love Sues.  I’ll put a picture on here if you want to see me wounds.

I love ya Sues but not that much!! Why would I want to see your wounds when I’ve got a lovely warm bath calling me name? Eh? Eh?  I hope you are resting your legs tho Sues.  It may seem like they’re saying it to mess up your life but you really need to do it.  I learnt that lesson the hard way when I tore the ligaments (or tendons can never remember which!) in my right foot.  I was trying to cross South St in Romford when a car sped round the corner and I had to jump back onto the pavement.  I didn’t quite make it - my foot was half on and half off of the road, I admit I felt something “Pull” but wasn’t sure what.  6 months later, after the Doctor telling me I needed to rest it ("YeahYeah") I’d gone back to him as it was getting worse only for him to tell me “total bedrest” for two weeks then to go back to him after that.  I had 2 weeks almost total bedrest (still used the loo!) but it was no better.  When I went back to him he said another 2 weeks bedrest and if it’s no better I’d need Steroid injections into the ligament as it was getting so serious that he was worried I was going to end up in a wheelchair. It was that serious.  Believe me I had the bedrest!  Ended up still having to have the injections but even now 13 years later if I’ve been on my feet a long time or even up and down a ladder it hurts.  When I first went to the Docs he asked if I was decorating or worked as a Postlady!  Cos apparently it’s the sort of injury they get!!  Anyway will leave you alone now to suffer with your wounds....  Yuk!! Hope it gets better really quickly for you.  At least it’s not your hands - imagine not being able to knit whilst incapacitated....!  See - it coulda been worse!

Me too!  Too busy with everything else at the moment!  But if you don’t get round to them before Chrissy, at least you’ll have something non-Chrissy related to do!

LOL
