AAhh Noggin the Nog! I loved him too.

I didn’t know about Captain Pugwashes connotations til earlier this year when a colleague at work told me. I’m very slow sometimes.

You have great taste teenknitter.
My hubby loves bagpuss. He even has a furry bagpuss rucksack which he has used. The only trouble is it doesn’t hold much.

I have one of those and he lives on the spare room door. When the grandchildren came to stay they were nervous at night until I showed them that Bagpuss was on guard to look after them all night. No problems after that.

I also loved Noggin The Nog and Captain Pugwash but apparently the Americans objected to Capn. P as it had “connotations

that’s daft, there’s no connotations there at all, some wag once claimed the cabin boy was called Roger, but I’ve got one of the books on the shelf and he’s called Jim.

Of course one of the more outrageous right wing evangelical groups tried to ban the Teletubbies saying Tinkywinky was gay… rolleyes

There is always someone ready to spoil things for others. We must not let them win.
