Just found this on ebay. It’s a bit short time but some of you might make it

Do you get Bagpuss wool from shearing bagpi?  How many bagpi would you need to shear to get a pound of wool.  What would the yardage be like?  And is it self-striping?  Enquiring minds need to know!

LOL

I think it’s very exclusive as Bagpi are smaller than sheep, so it takes several to produce the same weight as a sheep. Not sure about the actual weight though, my Bagpuss refuses to be sheared.

I’ve got the Bagpuss series on video ( for me, not my kids) and I love watching it, it so innocent & gentle.

I think I’ve got it - must dig it out one of these days.  I treat myself in the colder weather (summer?) to an episode or two of Upstairs Donwstairs (hubby treated me to five series worth of dvds at Christmas last year) I put it on then get on with the ironing.  Maybe I will give it a shot with Bagpuss or Mr Benn next time!

Oh yes I think I’ve got a DVD somewhere with a few of the classics on.  I liked the Flumps and the Clangers too.  Apparently I used to like Hectors House (can’t remember it myself) and Andy Pandy - hence my Mum always calling me Looby Lou.

oooooooo I love Andy Pandy and I have got the pattern for Muffin The Mule. Another Alan Dart that some daft “"” will probably pay a fortune for and it was in SK only a short while ago.

Yeah I’ve got a lovely Andy Pandy and Looby Lou which DH bought me some years ago.  I think they’re in a tough crate somewhere!

I also loved Noggin The Nog and Captain Pugwash but apparently the Americans objected to Capn. P as it had “connotations” confused
