This is soooooooooo cute pity that I don’t have a little girl to knit for love my little boys to bits though like everything else knitting seems more fun for girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus I doubt if my knitting skills would cope with such a complex pattern!

That’s looking great Stacy...lovely pattern and very neat.  Looking forward to seeing it finished....and your neighbour will be delighted with it.  Well done.

i have two boys and could nt wait to start knitting once she found out it was a girl! patterns are very limited for boys. im surprised its going so well - the pattern is easier than i thought!

From someone who hates plain knitting you are doing well. Think your telling a fib for it to be so neat you must have done it before. Good luck and I hope this encourages you to be a bit braver, so all you first timers get them needles into lacy patterns, baby jackets are an ideal way to practice not so hard to sort out or start again if you make a mistake. I use a lot of baby designs in plain tops to make them different, its all down to counting stitches.

I like that.  Bet it’s a pain though!  I have shelved my attempt at a dress for a friend’s baby.  The pattern on the skirt is a bit fiddly and I keep having to frog the back part.  Should have figured out how to knit it on circs really and then I’d have done the back and front together!  I will get there eventually though!  So I take my hat off to you!

You are doing brilliantly . I was looking at that pattern and thinking it would be nice to knit for Gina. One more to add to the “to do” list LOL

You are a very neat knitter and now you’ve done one lacey knit, you’ll want to do more.  I love to see babies in hand knitteds.  My daughters wouldn’t let me knit for my grandbabies.
