Sorry ladies but I can’t read these type of books I prefer a good scary horror not a gory one. Now a beer mat PLeeease no book stand and a nice big clip to hold it on tututut,LOL I bought one from e-bay and its great I can have my pattern on the stand and knit from it or a book. Must admit knitting is taking up all my time, haven’t been able to get on the computer, couldn’t find it under the dust haha.

Just seen this thread so sorry I am late coming in

The Knitting Circle:- was the reason I started knitting again grin read it on a very dark damp, and miserable day and it was not even mine, I brought for my dil who lives in France and goes to a KC, well if I had pins and wool I would have started right there! I had just read two very heavy books and this was a welcome change.

Divas Don’t Knit:- brought this for both dil in France and me to read we go on the 9th Sept, but I have a feeling she will get to read it before me as we will be having Sebastien most days ( he’s nearly 2 so not much reading or knitting when he’s around)

Needles and Pearls:- follow up to above so when I do get to read them I have the next book!

Friday Night kp: already in hand luggage for airport and plane!

Roll on the 9th cool grin

I read Divas Don’t Knit a few months ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  It was a birthday pressie from a friend last year.  I must admit I kept putting off reading it - got a whole pile of books to get through - but when I started it I couldn’t put it down and that coupled with two of my friends having babies got me back to knitting after a long absence. I even started dreaming about opening my own wool/beads shop.  I think I’ll put the sequel and the other books mentioned on my birthday list for this year (Oct).

I wonder how many women (or men) in your library are complaining because there are no library books to be had about knitting.  LOL

Friday Night Knitting Club book has a part in it about Thornhill near Dumfries in Scotland and that is about an hour from me and in the book it’s exactly as she describes it it’s wonderful.  Heard Julia Roberts is supposed to be doing a film I would love to know if they come to Scotland
