Just one more get up until easter the weather is looking beautifully sunny here at the moment but there was a mention of snow in the midlands for the weekend. Seems weird snow at Easter. Last Easter I spent the week in the garden in shorts and t-shirt. I restained all the fences, revarnished all the garden furniture, cleared a bramble jungle my husband had allowed to grow in his part of the garden where his greenhouses are and managed to get a very respectable suntan in the meantime with how glorious the weather was. We need to go and tackle the allotment this easter and i think it is going to be woolly hats , thick socks and wellies for next week. If the weather does stay bright we may manage a couple of days out. Thomas world at drayton manor opens this weekend so i may phone up there for a few details later on. What is everyone else going to be up to? smile

My sister and niece are coming to stay for the weekend which will be lovely - I think we’re planning a trip to Colchester zoo on Easter Sunday, and probably some other nice little outings on the other days smile

Its a bit mixed for us, the guys are off to a football match, so I think me & DD will be crafting something on Saturday, off to Church and an easter egg hunt in our garden on Sunday, my brother may be round with his kids, then I hope we go to see “The Spiderwick Chronicles” on Monday.

I did see a brief flurry of snowflakes yesterday when I was walking the dog. It was very cold, and I could “smell” snow, if you know what I mean.

I know what you mean about ‘smelling’ snow, there is a certain smell in the air when it’s going to happen. We got loads of snow this weekend, it was great (but all melted by the evening)

I started work on my boyfriend’s socks (about 2 or 3 inches of the cuff done thus far), and managed to go on a girlie shopping trip WITHOUT buying anything knit-related! I’m very impressed with myself.

Shoes! And a dress, lip balm and a necklace - nothing too extravagant. I shall now go and sit in the corner and ‘think about what I’ve done’ (not buying yarn), booo!

You have been appropriately punished Sophie...so next time you go shopping you head straight for your LYS...and then...and only then...do the unimportant stuff. wink
Nice to have a laugh Sophie...I hope you have a great day.
