She’s really lovely and on my to do list.  Was her hair difficult?

Not really, you chain stitch all around her “hair line” then cut about 140+ lengths of yarn, which you then thread through in 3s and leave doubled.  I’ve described that badly but it was quite easy.  He then recommends holding it over a steaming kettle to get it straight ... after burning my finger I gave that up and “combed” it straight with a crochet hook!
