Hi girls, essex bird back.  I finished my Nan’s stole last night and am going to have a go at putting picture on here.

Cant believe I have added it all on me own.

Thanks girls, I am well pleased with the wool.  Its from Wilkinsons and is 99p a ball.  They have got them in a metallic type blue and a maroon colour.  That used up 3 balls and am pleased with it.

My next project, (when I can get in my bedroom to get my stuff cause hubby is asleep after being on nights this week) is to have a go at designing my own cotton top.

Anyone else had any inspiration of doing their own!

i was thinking about the shorts that was in the mag. If you were to knit them and a skirt with the opening at the front. Think how nice it would be especially on a young girl, the skirt would have a fitting waistband but would be 2-4inch shorter in width. This would leave an opening to let you see the shorts and give nice coberup effect. What do you think. Well done Sue lovely shawl.

That’s really lovely.  You’ve inspired me to start a lace project.... just as soon as I finished winding the ball from a skein I have.  I am having terrible trouble with the winding, it’s just so tangled.
