That is lovely Tiddlerpuss....I am only learning to crochet.  Visited Gill when we were in York last weekend and she gave me a lesson so I have been pactising a bit since I came home.  I have been knitting for thirty odd years but never done any crochet....so keep your fingers crossed and one of these days I might be able to post a pic of it....but don’t expect anything like you’ve done....well done.

Hi Tiddler,

I love the jacket you made, its a distinctive pattern.

I knitted something similar with a tie up at the front but being a size 16-18 with a proportionate bum, it didnt look right.

Never mind,

Love Sues

Not too badly Gill...although I am still having problems with my left hand...too many fingers LOL
I started with some baby wool but soon discarded that and now I am trying with some thicker wool so that I can see the stitches where I have to put the hook....either that or it’s the magnifier oh oh ...but I will get there and I will post a pic...promise

Very nice, I could have done with that on in church this morning.  Where did you get the pattern from?

The pattern was in the crochet supplement that came with Let’s Knit issue 8, but beware, the instructions use American terminology.
I nearly had mine on in church but I got pasta sauce down the dress it was meant to go with and the stain hasn’t come out. Never mind, I might have to get a new dress to go with it now LOL

Isn’t amazing how you forget things when you get to a certain age

I will have another look through the booklet.  Hope the pasta stain comes out!
