I am so chuffed with myself - I have mastered continental knitting!! I’m not as fast as I can be with the wool in my right hand but I can manage a fair pace without having to concentrate on it too hard. I’ve been practicing for 2 days. My current project has a looming deadline so I have been knitting a lot and my right hand was beginning to hurt every time I picked up my knitting, especially in my pinkie finger which I generally use to control tension so I had to try something else. For a while holding the yarn differently helped but after a while even that didn’t help so I thought I’d try the left hand method and weyhey it works! Now all I need to do is stop my forearms aching. I have knitted 2100 stitches tonight so I guess that explains it!
I know small things please small minds but I’m just so pleased with myself for learning a new technique!!
