Well, it’s sunny here in Birmingham not that I can enjoy it much as I’m in work at the moment.  Had to take my cat to the vets this morning for a check-up.  She tore her paw open on Sunday and had to have an operation on Tuesday morning - vet said she’s healing well tho and can have the stitches out on Tuesday.

I’m knitting a pair of socke for hubby at the moment so I’ll probably do some more work on those when I get back - I need to finish them for next Saturday when it’s his birthday.  I’m also knitting a jacket in Sirdar’s luxury soft cotton, I need to finish sewing up another cardigan - just one side to sew up but just can’t seem to get round to it.  Also have to sew up a top in Rowan purelife - nice top but doesn’t seem to all quite fit together.

Ah well - it’s nice to be busy!

smile

PS:  My mother’s cat adores yumyums!

Well, I did it....I went mad and ordered a KNITTING BOOK!!!!!!
I know I have got thousands of patterns but when I saw it advertised I knew it was one I HAD to have!!!!!.
“HWN” thinks I have lost the plot but heck...I don’t smoke, don’t go out and only drink a weeny bit so I think a treat now and then is good for the soul.

I also bought a large punnet of strawberries. I am going to experiment this year and see what Strawberry Vodka will taste like. Watch this space, it may get a bit blurred wink

I also got 5 cable needles, 3 crochet hooks and a leather case for them for 50p a bargain I reckon!!!!

Must go and make tea, Bye for now.  grin

Been a lovely day here in Wakefield and to top it all my boss let me go 2 hours early, yippee.

My cat brings home voles and water rats (we have a beck at the bottom of our garden), thankfully all dead.

Love Nell

HI Cheryl,, it’s called “Inspired to Knit” by Michelle Rose Orne. I saw it reviewed on the Interweave site and decided that it was a “must”.  Some of the things look absolutely stunning. I must get some of my projects finished so I don’t feel guilty about starting new ones!!!! grin

I just posted an answer and then it disappeared. This site is getting the gremlins in I think.
Anyway, is there a pattern here that is of interest to anyone.???

Quite a lot of them are very pretty, but I especially like the one with the v back with the ribbons across it at the back (does that make sense?  More Strawb voddie needed I think!) It’s on a green background, in the middle of the first row of three.

This site definitely had the gremlins or ghoulies last night didn’t it?

I didn’t want to go to bed with anybody thinking I was being rude, buggering off without saying night night, but I was considering it after 15 minutes waiting for the flipping page to load!  I may consider phoning the good ladies of LK at some point - just to make a couple of points.!!

Just had a look at “Inspired to Knit” Even I am speechless!

WOW!

It looks lovely - I like at least 2/3 of the patterns, poet jacket, the cream cable sleeved, the burgundy lacy jacket.

Cor Gill, where do you find ‘em?!

cool hmm

It is rather gorgeous isn’t it? I get the daily e.mail from Interweave and it was being reviewed. I have ordered it and should get it next week.

The pattern is yours if you want it. It is made in SOFIL MIMOSA. have NO idea what that is but the needle size is 12 and 10 or..2.3/4mm & 3.1/4mm which I would reckon to be a 4ply.

Once you’ve got it and had a look at instructions etc I will pick your brains if you don’t mind!  How easy/tough the instructions look, etc etc.  I can’t be doing with all this instructions written for the Mensa membership!  And the idea of that baby cardi written in “conversational instructions” load of c**blers I reckon!!

cor the pattern’d be lovely, thanks Gill.  Want me to send you an SAE?
