Morning, beautiful day here as well.  I’ve got a boring day at work, then home to cut the grass and THEN it’s knitting time, I hope.  I want to do the Print o’the Wave stole for my sister.  I printed off the pattern ages ago, then I ordered the yarn and bought the needles (isn’t it funny, however many pairs of needles you buy, you’ve never got the size you need) but by the time I’d done that I’d lost the pattern.  Now I’ve found the pattern but lost the needles.  So if I can find the needles I’ll be starting tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning everyone.  It is good to be back on line.  I have not been on the internet for 3 weeks.  The weather here in Scotland is wet, wet and more wet.  I am glad we got the grass cut yesterday.  Off to work this morning and then lunch with my daughter.  Hopefully this evening I will manage a little knitting time - lace scarf from Simply knitting -oopes.  Have a good day.

It’s lovely and sunny again here today.  I’ve got work and then home to tidy the house from top to bottom.  It’s a real mess for some reason and we’ve got kids over all weekend so I don’t know why I’m bothering.  I’d like it to be immaculate when Steve goes away so he can appreciate when he gets back and it’s still immaculate that it must be him that makes all the mess.  Just think a sink free of potato scrapings, no dirty pants or socks on the toilet floor, no dining table cluttered with laptops or scraps of paper with phone numbers on it, no shoes in the middle of the kitchen floor, no guitars lying around and best of all no more sewing!  Whoops am I meant to be looking forward to it so much?  I’ll be moaning next week cos I’m bored and lonely LOL

Good morning everyone, beautiful here in brum for now but not sure for how long.
I should be a bit fed up today, loads of cr*p like my washing machine on the blink and I can’t get a repair man til next Friday and I’m still wading through Leigh-Anns holiday stuff.
We think the cat has caught a mouse and let it go in the kitchen so I’ve got a totally over reactioning hubby threatening to not come home (mmmmmmmmmmmmmm almost a pleasant thought), she caught one in the garden last week but although she had already killed it I mamaged to get it off her before she dimembered it. Hubby found mouse droppings on Sat behind the microwave as we had bought a new one and he was fitting it. They weren’t there last week before Max’s bday as I cleaned all the kitchen before and after his party. After checking all around every morning there was nothing til yesterday when a few more appeared and again today. I’m currently pulling all the appliances etc out to see where its hiding/residing. I’ve asked hubby to get some humane traps on the way home. We live next to a big open plot of land used for allotments and there are hundreds of field mice over there and Luckypops has bought them in before but its the first time one has taken up residence, she not usually stupid enough to loose them. I think she must be getting a lttle old we’ve had her over 10 years and she was fully grown when we had her.
PC is also playing up again so if I’m not on here much it’s because it won’t let me, if I didn’t know better I’d think hubby had bribed it to play up whenever I come within 6 feet of the blooming thing.
I’d better get back to my housework, my hairdresser is coming later as I missed my appointment on Tues when I was at Thomasland for Max’s school trip. Have a good one ladies and have started to read what you were all up to last night but had better prepare before I read the rest. I can’t laugh that hard after four births without protection. red face

Hello everyone..dull damp and just plain horrible here in Ayrshire today...again.  Where did all that beautiful sunshine go????
Can’t go far from the house today as we are having all the facias around the top of the house and all the gutterings and down pipes replaced.  When we organised it the firm said it was an outside job and would only take half a day...we are now into the second day and the downstairs of house is a tip as they are parading in and out plugging in electric tools...carrying stuff from front to back.  We are in a terrace but we have a lane at the back with a garden gate...but no..everything is easier for them (they said) just to bring through the house.  I’m certainly going to have a word with the company boss when we go in to pay up.
Moan over...getting my ironing doen for our trip to York...and me meet up with Gill.  Really looking forward to it.  Talk to you all later… smile

Is it wrong to admit I have got tears of laughter running down my cheeks at the thought of a cat called Luckypops!  I can just imagine you in the back garden calling her in!

Actually her full name is Luckpops Tumbleweed Eastwood Robbie.
Can you also believe that hubby named her, it was NOTHING to do with either me or the kids,it was his one condition when we had her, he chose her name. She is named after a cat he had as a boy and apparently she is just as yampy as her predecessor, they both eat cheese and onion crisps whilst he holds them in his mouth amongst other mad things hence her middle names!!!!!
Oh and yes I always feel very stupid in the garden at half past midnight calling her in. She is far too soft to leave out and quite small she has no chance of defending herself from the other toughnut cats in the hood. Great mouser and hunter of birds but totally useless at cat kung fu.

She also loves fairy cakes, lollipops if you hold it for her, and all crisps not just cheese and onion.

My cat Mollie has to be locked out of the room while you eat crisps because she tries to get them from your hands and has inflicted many an injury.  It’s slightly easier now she’s deaf and she can’t hear the packet crinkling.
